Columbus metro coverage

Families come to us from all over Central Ohio.

With clinics on both the east and north sides of town, most Columbus-area families are 25 minutes or less from a chair in one of our therapy rooms. Here’s a quick guide to which clinic tends to fit each neighborhood.

Westerville & Worthington

North-side families typically use our Worthington clinic on Wilson Bridge Rd — a 10–15 minute drive from most of Westerville and central Worthington.

Dublin, Powell & Upper Arlington

Northwest suburbs are an easy reach to our Worthington location via I-270. We have families driving in from Sawmill Rd, Muirfield and Tuller Crossing.

New Albany & Gahanna

Our Gahanna clinic on Airport Dr is 8–12 minutes from the New Albany Market Square, and a straight shot down Hamilton Rd for Gahanna families.

Bexley & East Columbus

Bexley, Whitehall and east-side families consistently choose Gahanna — under 15 minutes via Broad St or I-670 with no inner-belt traffic.

Downtown & Short North

Downtown and Short North families are close to either site — pick the one with the schedule that fits, or split between center and in-home sessions.

In-home anywhere in metro

Live further out — Pickerington, Hilliard, Grove City? Our in-home ABA team travels across the metro for families who can’t come to a center.

Our approach

What ABA actually looks like in our Columbus rooms.

Your child is paired 1:1 with a Registered Behavior Technician who knows their goals, their reinforcers and their routine. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst oversees the plan and reviews progress weekly. Sessions feel like play — because for kids, that’s how learning sticks.

See all services

Center-based ABA

Structured therapy rooms, peer-play time, sensory gym. Ideal for kids prepping for preschool or kindergarten.

In-home ABA

We bring the program to your living room so skills generalize where your child already lives.

Early intervention

Ages 2–5 get intensive, play-based programming that builds language, attention and social readiness.

Potty training program

A focused, parent-coached protocol that gets most kids through in days, not months.

Cost & insurance

Most Columbus families pay $0 out of pocket.

We accept most Ohio commercial insurance plans plus Ohio Medicaid (CareSource, Buckeye, Molina, Aetna Better Health, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, AmeriHealth Caritas) and a long list of commercial carriers. We verify your benefits before you ever sign anything — so the number you see is the number you pay.

Who runs it

Clinically led by Ilana Gross, BCBA.

Ilana holds a Bachelor’s in Speech & Language Pathology from Touro College, dual Master’s degrees in Education and Special Education from Mercy College, and an advanced certificate in ABA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Over a decade in special education and ABA shapes every program we run in Columbus — the kind of clinical eye most centers reserve for one location.

This is a phenomenal ABA center. Everyone at the center is really kind and patient with my son. I have seen a huge improvement with him. I’m truly grateful for everyone at On Target. Thank you.

Common questions

Columbus parent FAQs.

Which Columbus clinic should we tour first?

If you live north or northwest — Worthington, Westerville, Dublin, Powell, Upper Arlington — tour our Worthington clinic on Wilson Bridge Rd. If you’re on the east side — Gahanna, New Albany, Bexley, Whitehall — the Gahanna clinic on Airport Dr is closer. Not sure? Call (614) 681-1030 and we’ll pick the better fit based on your schedule.

Do we need an autism diagnosis before starting ABA?

Yes — insurance requires a current autism diagnosis to authorize ABA. If your child doesn’t have one yet, we can help. Our team coordinates evaluations and most Columbus families don’t wait the typical 12–18 months that hospital systems quote.

What ages do you serve?

Ages 2 through 18. Our early intervention program (ages 2–5) is the most intensive, but we run school-age and adolescent programs at both Columbus clinics as well.

Do you take Ohio Medicaid?

Yes — including CareSource, Buckeye Health Plan, Molina Healthcare, Aetna Better Health, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan and AmeriHealth Caritas. We also accept most commercial carriers. Call (614) 681-1030 and we’ll verify your specific plan in 24–48 hours.

How long is your waitlist in Columbus?

There isn’t one. Both our Gahanna and Worthington clinics have open spots, and most families start within 72 hours of completing intake — not the multi-month wait you’ll hear about at other Central Ohio providers.
