Registered Behavior Technicians run the daily ABA sessions that help kids with autism learn, communicate, and grow. We pay for your 40-hour training and mentor you through the certification exam — this is a real clinical career track, not a shift job.
Paraprofessionals, teacher aides and similar backgrounds are welcome as Behavior Technicians. We don’t require a license or certification up front: we provide the training and the certification process.

What an RBT actually does every day.
You'll work one-on-one with a child for most of your shift, running a play-based ABA program written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). No paperwork mountain. No call center scripts. Real kids, real progress, every session.
Run the session
Lead structured play, language drills, and natural-environment teaching. The BCBA writes the plan — you bring it to life with the child in front of you.
Collect clean data
Tap counts and prompts into our tablet app as you go. Honest data is how kids actually progress — we train you to take it without breaking the flow of the session.
Talk with parents
A short hand-off at pickup — what went well, what's next. You're the family's most consistent point of contact.
Work alongside your BCBA
Weekly supervision built into your schedule — not crammed into Sunday nights. Bring the questions; we bring the coaching.

Most sessions fall inside business hours, Monday through Friday — no weekends, no overnights. Full-time and part-time schedules both work.

40-hour training
BACB-approved, and you complete it at your center on paid time — we cover the cost, and it happens on the clock, not after hours.
Competency assessment
A BCBA observes you running the core skills in person. Pass it once, sign your offer, get on payroll.
RBT exam
A one-time exam fee is paid directly to the BACB. We schedule it, prep you with mock questions, and get you onto the schedule once you pass.

Questions we get from most applicants.
Do I need ABA experience or a psychology degree?+
No. Many of our RBTs come from teaching, paraprofessional work, childcare, or college; others are career changers from unrelated fields. The BACB requirements are a high school diploma or GED, age 18+, and a background check. Everything else, we teach. In Ohio, we don’t require a license or certification up front, and paraprofessionals and teacher aides are welcome. (In Utah, we currently hire RBTs and ABATs only.)
Is the 40-hour training really free?+
Yes, in Ohio — we cover the BACB-approved coursework, and you complete it at your center on paid time. You're only responsible for the exam fee paid directly to the BACB when you sit for the certification.
Can I work part-time or do I need to commit to full-time?+
Both work. Part-time is great for students — afternoon and after-school sessions fit class schedules well. Full-time unlocks benefits (health, dental, vision, PTO).
What hours will I actually work?+
Most shifts fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Younger children typically come mornings, school-age kids come afternoons. We don't run weekend or overnight sessions.
If I want to become a BCBA someday, will you help?+
That's the whole point of working here. We provide BCBA supervision hours, tuition assistance where applicable, and a clear path from RBT toward Senior RBT and the BCBA credential. If growing into a BCBA role is your goal, we build toward it with you.
